The Payyambalam park is combination of park & sea beach. Very useful place if you are visiting with Kids, they will enjoy to the fullest.
There are few shops inside where you can buy some food etc. Elders can enjoy sea beach & cool breeze from sea if you are sitting in park. Overall nice place to hang out.


The Payyambalam park has now become a major picnic spot for the people of Kannur town and nearby areas as well as tourists. The park at Payyambalam that Mr. Kanayi Kunhiraman conceived and developed as part of the Kannur tourism project launched by the Government.


The Payyambalam park overlooking the sea and the crematorium having tombs of eminent personalities, including E. K. Nayanar is the park that the sculptor has developed after Veli, Shanghumukham beach, Ponmudi and EMS Park. The land art of a Mother and Child and the functional sculpture of a relaxing tourist couple thatMr. Kanayi Kunhiraman has developed in the park and the crematorium that is close to the park represent the cycle of birth, life and death, according to the sculptor.

Overbury's Folly is a sea side park with a watch tower and is a great place to view the sunset. It is located less than a kilometer from Thalassery town. Its named after its builder, E. N. Overbury, who served as a local judge at Thalassery in the 1870s.


In 1879, Overbury wanted to construct a picnic spot at the cliff. He couldn't complete it, but the spot later earned the name "Overbury's Folly". The folly commands sweeping views of the Arabian Sea.


Overbury's Folly is a picnic spot named after E N Overbury, a British Sub-collector. It is located at Thalassery. It is an unfinished construction, or architectural folly, that now serves as a recreational park.


Today, Overbury's Folly has been renovated and redecorated as a tourist attraction.


It is frequented by local people in the evenings as a place to relax. A seaside open-air coffee shop has also been opened on the folly.

Sadhoo Merry Kingdom is a water theme park located in Chala in Kannur district. It was established in the year 2007 and is a favorite place of many tourists. There are several rides that entertain people of all ages.
